Went in and talked to the owner about a job, actually a lead driving position. He thought it would be a good idea so I did. He said that the General was going to be starting there too. So anyway, he was telling me about the new one (AA). Got a job and hated it.left there before getting a new one. He was going to be starting at a new place.he had been canned back in Jan. Here is a link to the site if anyone is interested (like anyone besides Mom actually reads this.) Ī couple of weeks ago, I heard from one of the guys (lets call him O Dog) that worked for me at my former place of employment (from now on referred to as HC). What more could I ask for?! Of course I accepted the position!!!! I would be nuts not to! So as of Januaray 8th, 2007 I will be working there. I couldn't wait for the day to end to get home and read it.įour dollars an hour more than I am currently making, I get to be around fire departments again and it is a very small company. They wanted to hire me and would send the offer via email. Well on Thursday of this week, I got the call. I asked Sheri and my Mom (she is here for Christmas) what to do and neither of them were much help. I was trying to decide if I should call and ask about the position. Well I waited without hearing anything for another week or so.
When I talked to the owner, he said they would be deciding that day and "It looks good, Tom". I still didn't hear anything for a few weeks so I decided that I would call and see if they had made a decision. I sent a thank you email to the two gentleman that had interviewed me a few days afterwards. I told Sheri that I thought it went ok but I was not very confident. I went to the interview but didn't think it went very well. I checked and discovered that I had an email from Bendlin asking to schedule an interview with me. Well at the end of November I discovered that I had not checked my email that I use for job applications. I had not heard anything and assumed that they had filled the position. At the time I applied they were looking for a service technician to repair the equipment. By equipment I mean breathing apparatus, flash lights, helmets and other stuff like that. They sell equipment to fire departments throughout the state. When I was trying to get out of AA I had applied at a company called Bendlin Fire Equipment. I really can hold a job down, HONEST!! No I didn't get fired or quit on the spur of the moment. LOL.This seems to be a recurring theme for me. Maybe she will help me come up with a more creative name. I suppose it is time to share this idea with Sheri and get her input.
What's Next?! It is perfect for the type of blog that I am considering starting. The first thing I need to do is come up with a name for this new blog.unfortunately I keep coming back to the name of this one. Not to worry, I will still continue to blog personal stuff here. Instead of a blog like that I am thinking of starting a different blog and posting about articles about raising children, families and and marriage. Over the last year or so that I have had this blog, I've shared my personal experiences relating to just about anything I can think of at the time with you. Yes, I know that is exactly what I am doing right now but what I am talking about is a blog that is more article like than journal like. Which leads me to my latest idea - blogging. It was more of an informational site that really never took off like we had hoped it would. The website was never really designed as a money making venture although we did have a few ads on the site.
At one point I co-owned a website with a friend of mine. The only thing those adventures helped us to do was to get into debt more. We've tried Amway (we now call it Scamway) then we tried the online version of it called Quixtar. In the past Sheri and I have tried a few different things without much success. Recently I have been thinking about ways to make a little more money, in addition to my job that is. The band was invited to play in the Rose Parade in Pasadena California. Well Alex (their eldest) plays clarinet in the Waukesha North High School marching band. I bet your wondering where Holly and their eldest daughter were. We were able to wake Arron up, Andrew woke up but does not remember anything that happened. They all stayed up until midnight except the twins. We stayed in with the kids and Fredo (not his really name - the nickname that I use for him) brought his three younger girls (He and Holly have 4 girls with another baby on the way) over to play with kids. I hope you had a safe and fun new years eve. Sorry that was the best Ed McMahon impression that I can manage with words that are typed out.
